cam recommendation_btnAll Howards mechanical roller cams are made from premium billet steel. Mechanical roller cams are designed and mainly used in full competition applications. Real race conditions are extremely punishing to the valvetrain and the camshaft. So why would you use a cast core? No matter how good the heat-treatment, a cast core (SADI) will not provide the performance or durability of an American steel billet cam. At Howards Cams we will not skimp on materials for higher profits.
